BOULDER – One of the most important positions in soccer is the goalkeeper. The keeper is the last line of defense against an attack, and can make or break the team with key saves at key moments. For the University of Colorado, the most credited goalkeeper in history was Sloane Cox. And in 1998 she entered her senior year poised to enter not only CU's record books, but the Big-12's all-time record books as well. By the time the season ended, Cox had recorded a Big-12 record 188 saves during the year, a number that still stands to this day ending her career at CU with her name securely enshrined in the Big-12's books.
