Well, I'm not going to bring it in my 1000th post like BCS will in his 9000th, but this topic brings me such joy that I felt it befitting of my 1000th post in my posting nubliness.
Today is the first day that I have sheer joy in listening to these UT mouthpieces down here. They are doing their damnednest best to put a positive spin on what UT did yesterday, but they just can't do it. They try to slam CU (and NU) for leaving, but they know that we were the visionaries that the balls to make the change - UT wasn't.
Instead they're wallowing in their own greed knowing that UT will implode yet another conference while lining their own pockets. They aren't excited about the next upcoming 10 years. I believe they are relegating themselves to the fact that if not for the previous competitive nature of the old Big 12, they are basically no better than the Mountain West moving forward.
And the fact that Big 12 just became the "welfare state" of college football is also a hit to the UT hubris. :smile2:
This is such a wonderful morning. Thank you CU administration for being shrewd and visionary in your dealings with the Pac-10. Unlike our former conference members we do have hope in moving forward with the future of CU.
Now, just get visionary in your dealings with the Hawk and do whatever needs to be done with him to ensure momentum and strength for CU going into the Pac-12 in 2011!
Oh yeah, and 1000TH POST! :drink2::woot:
