Prayers to Tom!
Kensler is one of the best in the biz. Haven't heard anything but respect and admiration for him out of other media members.
Double Karma. Was one of the few good ones we've had on our beat!
Hang in there Tom!
All the best Tom!
That headline is so awkward.
Prayers for a speedy recovery
Godspeed in your recovery! You are a great one
This really hits home as I have gotten to know him thru the years of covering the Buffs and he is always one to say hi or call me after something big goes down with the Buffs. I hope for a speedy recovery and send him all of the karma I can muster. Get better Tom!
Brain aneurysm- that's bad. I hope he pulls through and is able to live a productive life.
All the best Tom.
He was undoubtedly the last really good Buffs beat writer from a Denver paper.
Oh my! This is so sad. Prayers and thoughts to his loved ones.
ugh RIP Tom
Ugh. Brain Aneurism. That sucks.
We lost the best of Denver sports journalists.
That really sucks.
****....my heart is heavy and my eyes are filled with tears. Tom was a very, very good man. Damn
Very sorry to hear this! RIP to the last decent Denver sports journalist covering CU.
Appropriate that the tweet come from Frei, he and Kensler are both from an era when thinking and providing the right information accurately and with a minimum of bias were the hallmarks of a professional journalist, sports or otherwise.
Just sad that this kind of thing happens, worse when it happens to good people.
