He is very popular with the players, most likely candidate to keep both the players we have and the recruits we have on board from jumping ship.
He is enthusiastic and seems to know what he is doing both recruiting and coaching his position. Get Hawkins out of his way and he might just be a very positive surprise. He doesn't have a lot of experience on the defensive side of the ball but I think that Cabral and Brown can handle that for him, again better without having to deal with Hawkins around.
Give him a chance, see how he does, look at him at the end of the year.
If he turns out to be a good choice then he will also be relatively inexpensive balancing out some of the buyout of Hawkins and we go on with some of the good that has been established in the past couple of years, if not then we look elsewhere.
