indoor track and field men's and women's teams throughout the regular season, as well as any other general news that pops up during the season regarding the teams and any of their individuals. (Separate threads will be set when the 2 biggest meets of the year get near to starting up - the MPSF (Conference) Championships (2/22 & 2/23) and of course NCAA Championships (3/8-3/9).) Of course, the main track accounts (https://twitter.com/CUBuffsTrack and https://www.instagram.com/cubuffstrack/) also provide updates , and can be valuable to follow, especially to keep up with the often NCAA championship-level distance athletes. (Note- I believe the CU coaches usually give the top distance folks a competition break for awhile after cross country season before they start again worrying about indoor, so we might not hear much about them until, at least, the new year. Some other schools do have their runners do a quick race or two trying to capitalize on their cross country fitness to earn NCAA qualifying times (one young woman from the U. of New Mexico just ran the 3rd fastest time ever for an indoor 5K in a Boston race), but I can't recall the Buffs doing this.) __________________________________________________________________________ The teams (mainly looks like the multi-event folk) started action today in Golden at, I assume, the School of Mines, and looks like we already have a school record EARLY in the season for an individual event within the women's pentathlon. Congrats to senior Maja Wichhart-Donzo!
