Thought I'd start this thread to collect any news related to the lacrosse team during this off-season.

A couple things to start with- congrats to the 11 Buffs who earned Pac 12 All-Academic honors and the 3 who've been named to the Coaches Association's (LWCA's) All-West/Midwest Region team!

Lacrosse going young with its new coaching and staff hires, as 2019 grad Nicole Levy (from a traditionally strong Syracuse program) is named assistant coach, while 2018 Buff grad Carly Cox moves up from Grad Asst. coach last season to Director for Player Development this season.
(GUESSING that combined they may be combining to help replace former asst. coach Alex Frank, who has moved on to become the Dartmouth head coach (post #8).)

Welcome to Ms. Levy, and congrats and best wishes to both her and Ms. Cox!

maybe they went young so they can hire two and get a larger staff that is more of a norm for top programs. I can not complain about Whidden's hires. She had done a great job so far

Also, I already noted this a bit ago in the recruiting thread, but since it is important and specific to lacrosse -

The team releases their schedule.

Personally, of course, 1st plan on relishing our winter sports (the bballs, indoor track and, starting in January, skiing), but also great to see the challenging schedule lax has on tap, and can't wait for the opening draw on Feb. 8th, and 1st home game on Feb. 21st.

Go Buffs!

BOULDER — It's no secret University of Colorado lacrosse head coach Ann Elliott Whidden doesn't shy away from tough competition when she puts together her team's schedule.

This year is no different as the Buffs will take on six ranked opponents, which includes a pair of Pac-12 opponents. CU, which was ranked 19th in the IWLCA poll at the end of the season, will start the season against Florida, which was ranked 13th at the end of the season for the third straight year, on Feb. 8. This is the second time in three years the Buffs will take on the Gators to open the season on the road. In 2019, CU hosted Florida.

The Gators are the first of six non-conference opponents the Buffs will face during the season. After the season opener, the Buffaloes will return home to host Harvard Feb. 21. It will be a quick turnaround for their third game of the season as Colorado will head to Ann Arbor, Mich. for a contest Feb. 23 against No. 11 Michigan.

The conference slate will begin March 6 with Oregon coming to Boulder. Just two days later, CU will host its fourth non-conference, Coastal Carolina.
...

The Pac-12 Conference Tournament will take place April 23-26 in Palo Alto, Calif., with Stanford serving as the host. The NCAA Tournament field will be announced early in May. The first and second rounds will take place May 8 and 10, respectively, while the quarterfinals are slated for May 16-17. The semifinals are scheduled for May 22 and the finals are May 24.

Before the season starts, the Buffs will have a chance to see how they stack up against the nation's best Jan. 26 when they scrimmage No. 4 Northwestern in Boulder. NU has been one of the nation's elite programs and will likely be ranked highly this season.

All dates and times are subject to change. Pac-12 Network TV games will be announced at a later date.

(All rankings used in this release were from the final 2019 IWLCA poll.)

Would be nice to see what channels they would be on. Would be helpful in determining when to cut Sling TV for the summer until football season.

(Of course, I'm sure the Network will also be showing every one of the (April 23-26) Pac 12 Tournament games.)

I am sure the pac 12 does not know. There is an article that they are cutting cost and production values for spring sports. I would rather they would just be streamed but after watching some of the streaming in soccer this year, other schools are really bad at it. CU has the best I have seen.
