Lacrosse ranked #4 - hosts Winthrop on Wed, 3pm

I just checked the Winthrop schedule and roster. Tough day for them... they haven't played a match since an 18-5 loss to Oregon (in SC) on 3/3 and after this one they turn around and go back home to SC with 2 matches this weekend (Friday and Sunday). I'm guessing the reason they are here is that one of their goalies is a freshman from Cherry Creek.

BOULDER — Colorado extended its season opening win streak to eight games with an 18-6 victory against Winthrop (2-4) on Wednesday afternoon.
The Buffs (8-0), who are ranked fourth in the Inside Lacrosse media poll and are seventh in the IWLCA Coaches Poll, had four individuals with three goals or more for the third time this season. Darby Kiernan, Cali Castagnola, Blair Sisk and Katie Macleay each had a hat-trick and Kiernan led the Buffs with five points, adding two assists in the win.
