EUGENE, Ore. – Sarah Lautman knows a thing or two about late game heroics. For the third time in the University of Colorado lacrosse team’s inaugural season, the sophomore sent in the Buffaloes’ overtime game-winner.

The regular season finale saw Colorado and Oregon tied five times. Both teams held a three-goal lead at one point in the game, but it was the Buffs that came out victorious, claiming the 10-9 victory and clinching the No. 3 seed in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament.

There is still the conference tournament coming up so they do have a chance at an automatic bid to the NCAAs. It might sound crazy, but the USC team we beat upset Stanford and only lost to Denver by a goal, so you never know.

A trip to the NCAA tournament in our first year would be incredible. Can only think something like that would immediately get the attention of the top HS lacrosse players in the country.
