Matches Thread- SOCCER opens CU's 23/24 sporting year hosting the UNC Bears (Thursday, 8/17/23, 7:00 PM MT) & Marquette (Sunday, 1:00 PM MT)

bad loss. cant get shut out at home by Marquette. it could be a long year if they dont fix it
My thoughts were more or less along these ^^ lines.

As with the win v UNC the other day CU had a lot of possession in the attacking half, but struggled to generate quality chances. There were a grand total of three Buff shots on target this afternoon. In the second half Ava Priest did have a look at a fairly open net but her shot was off target.

Certainly the attack misses Jenny Beyer, but I suspect it's more that that. There are just too few quality chances created. It midfield is just not in sync with each other and the forwards.

Marquette's goal was a real head scratcher as it come when a corner that was hit on the ground and somehow made it untouched to the far post to an open Caroline Cline.
