UCSB has fallen off from where they were as a program in years past. I saw them at the Pit in a 1st round game against Arizona back in 2002 that the Cats just barely won. The Gauchos had a spot-up shooter named Mark Hull, white guy with a receding hairline, who could rain 3s. Locals at the arena were booing the hell out of Lute Olson all day because apparently he had pussed out of scheduling a yearly game with UNM. UCSB was a fun program from a fun town and for the sake of our RPI I hope they pick it up and have a good run in the Big West this year.
