Renck isn't the type of guy to report this if it wasn't true. Someone screwed up and spilled the beans early. Mac is done.
 
we're not the first nor last to see our program leak a coach firing before it is ready to happen. it happens pretty much everywhere. and, it sucks for this staff. but, they know the day that they are hired that odds are good they are going to someday get fired. and, mm has a nice going-away present. and, he knows that he is going to get another job as will his staff.

it sucks to see it happen like this, if it is true, but the key now is to go fast and clean it up. definitely want to see mm coach the team on saturday. after that, things could be more fluid.
 
So big national names like Brett McMurphy and Phil Steele are running with the channel 7 report but CU is still denying it. Got it.
 
I hope Shenault will stick around and not follow Chev. Maybe a big name can come in and save the recruiting class. I suspect it will come apart.

politics meets athletics. i am sorry for mm (and, a little for us-- i'd rather see this handled in an orderly fashion), but i am not going to get all out of sorts over a leak. think about all the different ways it could happen-- agents, regents, staffers... the list is long.
 
have been trying to talk myself out of going to the game this saturday...been looking for a reason...I will be there for sure now. I have to see the seniors off and I have to see how the team plays for their coach.
 
It is simple.
If RG comes out and states that MM will be coaching next year at Colorado then we know the answer.
If he doesn’t specifically state that, then MM is done.
