Easier to pass when you’re allowed to travel.
Vonleh needs the ball every single possession to help pull the outside defenders off the 3-point shooters, should be in inside-out game and rack up fouls on the Iowa bigs

I don’t watch much women’s basketball. Compared to men there is a much larger talent gap, 1 through 7, than with the guys. The skill level for the elite women has improved a lot in 10 or 15 years.
Also, the men have a ton more parity than the women, obviously. I was hoping our ladies would give Iowa a run for their money, and they still could, but we are too soft on D and aren’t hitting shots. A really bad combination!!

Yup. It was a good thought to attempt to get the ball to Vonleh on the first two possessions, but the turnovers were deadly.
