If Briles coaches in college again, I'm assuming it will be in Texas or possibly LSU, due to his extensive Texas high school connections, but I don't see him going back to UH if Herman leaves. I think UH will continue to go with a coordinator from a blue blood.

Known quantity at Houston. Previous goodwill. Easy transition. Knows recruiting that area. Texas base. Easy rehab transition to another major program.
 
This Pitt game is not doing Franklin's job security at Penn State any favors.

Watched the replay and didn't think Bama was that great. They were up 17-3 at half only because of U$C brain freeze, not any great superiority of Bama. Lots of three-and-outs for Bama.
Then, U$C quit in the second half after more brain freeze. Big deal. Happens. (What was Clemson's excuse for a 3 pt. win over Troy???)
Doesn't make Bama world beaters. They could lose a couple of SEC games.
 
I think Greg Schiano is going to be a hot name this offseason after doing work for a year as the Ohio State DC.

Back in Dan Devine days, trust me, Missouri was great and could beat anybody and did. They were very, very good.

Correct, they just need an efficient QB, that is all. They have all the other pieces in place.
 
So Finebaum saying on the Audible podcast that he doesn't believe Auburn or any team in the SEC would touch Briles after this season and that the SEC commissioner would likely have to approve to even be considered.
 
FIU has fired HC Ron Turner. 1st HC axe to fall this year.

Also, Notre Dame fired DC Brian VanGorder.
 
Man that Auburn vs LSU match up was brutal, there was a ton of speculation this week leading up to the game that it was basically a cage match elimination game where the loser was going to get canned. LSU wants to set themselves up to be the leader for Herman.

That LSU team has been a massive disappointment. They returned everyone from a good team and somehow managed to massively regress. Something ain't right.
