Official Buffs vs. Cougars Game Thread

Sorry but that’s a bitch ass call and ejection. Football is becoming soft.
Some of the rules about hitting the QB in the NFL, I would agree with that last statement.

But the blindside block is absolutely a rule that needed to be taken out of the game. 10 years ago I would have jumped off my seat excited about that hit. Not anymore.

Just look at the stories this week about Justin Bannan and Marion Barber. The mental deterioration of these guys at such a young age is disturbing. Football is inherently violent, but getting rid of blindside blocks is a pretty easy one to go after.

What
Viska beat his guy by 8 yards
Just needs a simple toss, not a bullet
Running out of endzone there
80% Montez
20% Viska

Madden rule-If you play WR, and the ball hits you in the hands, its on you if you drop it. 2nd down was on Viska, and 3rd down (even more so) on Jalen Jackson

I’m fine with that first down play even tho I’d rather not let Montez throw another pass in the game. We caught them and just didn’t execute. But run the ball on 2nd down. And then probably on 3rd down. And then decide on a manageable 4th down what you wanna do.

Bingo. Four down territory most drives now.

That’s fine and I don’t disagree. I still think ejecting him for that is soft.
