Yes - B1G was also very good but the SEC East was better than the B1G West

It’s the self fulfilling prophecy. The guys on the show even said, “it’s hard to imagine a national championship being played for without the SEC after how dominant that conference has been for the past two decades”… is it about the pst two decades or is it about this year?
In a way we have that next year with two major conferences, two middling ones, then the rest of D1.

SEC has a losing record against both the ACC and Big 12, their lone win vs the Big 12 was 3 points over KSU.

Not just the SEC, but Bama is in particular. That team clearly gets the benefit of the doubt based on past performance.
I doubt Auburn, Missouri, or Ole Miss are getting that same benefit of the doubt.

This is an excellent point. They should have dropped FSU to 5 or 6 before the CCG’s if this was their reasoning all along.
