You either need to adjust your route scheme to easier, quicker, shorter or adjust to a variable run scheme or pull Lewis. There's no other way. This is not suddenly gonna change.
On that last series, there were three WRs within 10 yards on the side lines....i get that he's not comfortable rolling to his left, but why roll to the right on the short side of the field and stack everyone in the same space? Crappy play design.

All you guys seem to be blaming a Lewis. I see bad, bad coaching. You can’t teach speed, but you can teach slow. He’s been coached slow.
He's also not close to ready.

I'm so glad that we chased away a veteran QB who had actually won games in a CU uniform in the past.

The OL is the core of the problem, nobody can win if you can't block but Lewis looks like he is figuring out what he is seeing about the time he is returning to the huddle.

You have a good point. Chev has no clue how to create a player-friendly scheme and most definitely has no clue how to coach up a QB.

Our receivers are running slow and rounded routes. Easy to defend. We are ****ed unless lots of things change very quickly.
Can't see the routes from my couch unfortunately (when are we going to get All22 cam now that everyone has 50 inch HD tvs?) but I'm not surprised. Route running was one of the main things that kept Viska (along with injuries) out of the first round. Our OC is a WR coach, or HC has been a WR coach in the NFL since Clinton was president (that may be embellished) and we're having route running issues and offense issues. If you have a head coach with an offensive background and your team has bad offenses, you're gonna have a bad time.
