Cue the MC Hammer. Turn it up. Yup, after last week the theme song is “Can’t touch this”

After arguably the best weekend of college football in years we can’t dare hope for more of the same but we will be watching.

Wednesday night football is back. After a bunch of early season upsets the Sun Belt gives us Appalachian State (3-3) hosting Georgia State (2-4) and winners of their last two.

Thursday for the football that doesn’t involve Amazon and does involve scoring we get Virginia (2-4) who’s fans are calling for a coaching change at Georgia Tech (3-3) who did fire their coach and the Athletic Director as well and has won two in a row since.

Also on Thursday in a game that matters more Troy (5-2) is at South Alabama (5-1.)

Friday is nothing special but we do have UAB (4-2) at Western Kentucky (4-3) pushing for a spot in a bowl that almost nobody watches.

After last week the Saturday schedule was bound to be less impressive but there are some top 25 match-ups that look very interesting.

The morning starts with a battle of unbeatens as Syracuse (14) goes to Clemson (5.) Syracuse has been a nice story but their dream season likely derails here. No gold chains but Clemson would like to get back in the playoff hunt here after getting jumped by Tennessee.

Oklahoma State (11) was unbeaten until losing last week to TCU but is still ranked ahead of visiting Texas (20.) They may have fallen out of contention for the playoff but their coach is still a man, and now well over 40.

Out west UCLA (9) takes their surprising 6-0 record to Oregon (10) who hasn’t lost since the opener at 5-1.

Also unbeaten until last week Alabama (6) gets a chance to take out their frustration at home against Mississippi State (24.)

The late game has Kansas State (17) and their 5-1 record looking to knock TCU (8) from the ranks of the unbeaten at 6-0.

Other top 25 action includes Ole Miss (7) at LSU (5-2) who could get back into the top 25 with a win.

Getting nowhere close to the top 25 Iowa (3-3) is at Ohio State (2.) The Buckeye haven’t scored less than 45 in any game since their opener against Notre Dame. Iowa’s pathetic offense hasn’t scored 45 since October 1 of last year and will have a hard time doing it again this year.

Along the theme of MC Hammer bring out the parachute pants because in typical SEC fashion it’s hammer time. Tennessee (3) follows up an epic battle with Alabama with an epic body bag game bringing in Tennessee Martin. How often with they dance to the end zone in a game that isn’t even listed as having a line.

Nebraska fans won’t have to bear another one score loss and Mel and the Molesters of Michigan State won’t have to deal another high priced loss either. Both are on a bye week.

Baylor (3-3)will have to take a day off from committing felonies to host Kansas (5-2.) Pedo State (16) hosts Minnesota (4-2) which is trying to get back on track after losing two in a row. They may want to skip the showers after the game though.

Not much interesting in the PAC 12 this week other that the UCLA- Oregon game. Washington (5-2) can reach bowl eligibility with a win at Cal (3-3.)

Locally Air Force (5-2) goes for bowl eligibility hosting Boise (4-2.)

Wyoming (4-3) has been very inconsistent this year but beat a consistently bad New Mexico team last time out. This week they host Utah State which has also been inconsistent and doesn’t know who will be playing quarterback with the only healthy option at the moment a true freshman who wasn’t even on the depth chart a few weeks ago.

If you like bad football then the Mountain Worst has a game for you. Hawaii (2-5) and CSU (1-5) have two things in common. One is that if not for the gift of playing Nevada they would not have a BCS level win and two, they are both beyond bad not only losing but losing in embarrassing fashion. This weekend we get to see what happens when a pile of rotten coconuts and fish guts meet a pile of sheep manure in Fort Collins. Plenty of good seats available if any seat can be called good watching this disaster.

While thinking of the smell of rotting manure the University of Northern Colorado comes to mind.

Saturday Dan Hawkins brings UC Davis (2-4) to Greeley against UNC (2-5) and losers of three straight. Hawkins has had some very good teams at Davis but this isn’t one of them. It should still be good enough to beat up on the pathetic Bears.

Local small colleges again have a big weekend.

Mines (5-0, 5-2)is all alone on top of the conference standings with a tough game at home against Black Hills State (3-2,5-2). Can they prove they are 2Legit2Quit?

Western (4-1, 4-3) is alone in second playing at NM Highlands (3-2,3-3.)

Appy state got down 14-0 and has dominated 35-3 since.

Interesting game to watch although now it's a blowout. At least more interesting than watching the Nuggets down by 20 .

This Virginia/GT game is more entertaining than I expected.

Not what anyone would consider quality football with turnovers, missed plays, etc. but fun to watch

UVA may want to work on the kicking game and invest in a jugs machine.

Saw that dropped pass in the end zone and thought I was watching Arias. Don't follow Virginia closely but apparently that receiver has a history of dropping passes.

And who would think it would be as hard as it apparently is to find somebody who can kick a football straight. How can so many colleges not be able to count on hitting what should be an easy FG. And actually getting a punt off cleanly would be nice as well.

Which game you starting with today?

The undefeated matchup between Syracuse and Clemson is probably the call.

But I'm interested in seeing if that Iowa defense can slow down Ohio State.

And Kansas at Baylor is intriguing to see if Grimes can get the offense going (they've struggled) against a weak KU defense.

Syracuse-Clemson is the easy choice here and I have Iowa-tOSU on the my 2nd TV. Not much else that intriguing to choose from in this noon window. My wife and I are kicking outselves that we didn't decide to splurge for tickets to the Clemson game today, the weather is absolutely perfect.

How are you a program like Iowa and have a D2 QB room? Holy hell, how are they not able to get a decent QB to Iowa City.

Is Kansas going to get bwalked? I could see them not winning another game this year.
Someone on here came strong with that take a couple weeks ago. Predicted they would not win another game this year.

Padilla was sh!t at Creek. Sh!t now. IOWA QBs...

I swear officials love throwing flags at the underdog when playing a marquis conference team. Case in point Syracuse v. Clemson.

100% this. Getting flat out blatant at this point. Wow.

The late hit no-call no Shrader was pretty bad, and Syracuse got called for about the same degree on a late hit that kept Clemson's last drive alive. That aside, Syracuse has made some key mistakes this half - dropped pass on 3rd down, late hit on Klubnik, and then the holding that negated a 3rd down conversion

Yup, Cuse is falling apart down the stretch. Still plenty of time if they can get it together
Sideline reporter saying they are all really down on themselves on the sideline. Jeezus, you're down 3 with plenty of time. That's on the coaches. What garbage.

Clemson d-line has really stepped it up this half after getting pushed around for much of the first half. But only 5 carries for Tucker?
