No. To far.
If they do, which I doubt, I'm betting they'd take Ralphie IV and not blackout.
i kinda doubt its a distance issue. It not that much further from athens to jax in the context of driving from the boulder area. probably another 5 hours or so?
ralphie going to UGA was by a direct invitation from the UGA AD. that is why she made the trip. FSU being FSU, i doubt it ever entered thier minds.
Plus we would also need special permission from the Jaguars since it would be in their stadium. Im sure that is playing a big role in her not making the trip.
I thought the Jax organizers might try. The family that owns Winn Dixie, a grocery chain down here has a farm with buffalo outside Jville. they occasionally get out and feed on the golf course next door...
At the FSU game in Tallahassee all the fans were very disappointed Ralphie didn't make the trip.
Maybe CU can borrow the SMU pony that runs after each TD.
That little horse is seriously low rent, and June didn't get much use out of it.
For context, the UGA game was the only non bowl away game that Ralphie had ever travelled to.
Outside of the home team not wanting a 1200lb buffalo running around, I don't see a good reason not to show off the best mascot in sports.
The ESPN crew got a good cuckle out of Blackout's run - Craig James was busting his gut. Fowler said she was recruited for her speed, and one of the handlers eyes got as big as silver dollars keeping up with her. Best mascot in college football.
I secretly suspect that "LOL" is misused, and through abbreviation inflation has actually grown to mean "chuckled inwardly".
But dude, seriously, I actually "laughed out loud".
Another thing that cracked me up was in Blackouts first run at CSU game one of the FSN announcers ran with ralphie and boy was he booking it.
that wasn't Blackout (Ralphie V), that was Rowdy (Ralphie IV), Blackout did not run until EWU
There will be a 30 person pep band going to Jax for the game though. Those are some lucky bastards.
