Deion Sanders is not playing around

The Colorado Buffaloes cannot be stopped on the recruiting trail right now. Deion Sanders knew he needed the beef up front, and he went out right away and grabbed as much as he could last year. Now, he’s trying to build on what he grabbed last year with some even more choice cuts of beef. Justin Mayers is one of those choice cuts.

Mayers comes to Boulder from UTEP, where he started all 12 games for the Miners at left guard. He has incredible pass-blocking grades as a guard and also moved some dudes around, which will be relieving to see in Boulder after what we saw this year. Mayers is a polished product already who has played plenty of snaps at the FBS level.

Mayers chose Colorado over about 20 offers, including 15+ Power 5 offers. He is exclusively an interior OL, so will likely be working next to five-star Jordan Seaton moving forward.

Welcome, Justin!
