Jumped on for grins and caught the middle of Sanford's portion. Gotta say, I'm impressed. He is night/day more impressive than Chev. Professional, is the word that comes to mind. Interesting to hear him talk about key traits of QBs, and "knowing where to go with the ball" is high on his list. I'm hopeful that he can help Lewis get that part figured out. He also spoke glowingly about Lewis' toughness and said that the QB has to be the toughest player on the team.

If he got to the end of year 2 and was disconnected enough to be blindsided like that, it’s not great. It’s worse that his solution to that issue is a check in with his players instead of recruiting for a couple days. That screams lack of connection and proactive work

I'm just happy he's not completely blind. I just wish he'd thought slightly ahead. It's crazy to me he still thinks that nothing has changed since 2007

That reads as a guy who had been out of the college game for a long time. Ultimately, I guess he has admitted the issue and hopefully found a solution, but a huge yikes as the head coach of a P5 program.

Well that would be an upgrade. If I had my choice between 2 ****ty OC's, I would take the one that is engaging and likeable that can recruit, vs the one that acts like that **** is beneath him. Better players running a ****ty offense will have more success than bad players running a ****ty offense.
