Jumped on for grins and caught the middle of Sanford's portion. Gotta say, I'm impressed. He is night/day more impressive than Chev. Professional, is the word that comes to mind. Interesting to hear him talk about key traits of QBs, and "knowing where to go with the ball" is high on his list. I'm hopeful that he can help Lewis get that part figured out. He also spoke glowingly about Lewis' toughness and said that the QB has to be the toughest player on the team.

That seems like an implied admission of being blindsided by the departures.

If he got to the end of year 2 and was disconnected enough to be blindsided like that, it’s not great. It’s worse that his solution to that issue is a check in with his players instead of recruiting for a couple days. That screams lack of connection and proactive work

That has been the word on Sanford. Very engaging and likeable, bottom barrel OC in execution.

OMFG. That is coaching 101! Post season interviews with EVERY player. Position coaches at the very least. I didn't think I could have less respect for KD, but then there's this. What a fvcking imbecile.

Well that would be an upgrade. If I had my choice between 2 ****ty OC's, I would take the one that is engaging and likeable that can recruit, vs the one that acts like that **** is beneath him. Better players running a ****ty offense will have more success than bad players running a ****ty offense.

The fact that he even said that publicly shows a severe lack of judgement. Sometimes mistakes learned are better kept to oneself.

Edit: What SewallBeach said.

Dude should have had an AD standing there off stage, ready to take him up to his office and ream his ass at the very least.

RG probably didn't say a word.
