Anyone catch the post game interview with Steve Fairchild yesterday? Hi comments started off by saying he and his staff did not coach well this year and he would do what ever he could to change that. He also was very emotional and almost in tears. You could tell it really bothered him to be in the spot he was in. Never mentioned that Sonny had left him a mess, that the state of the program was in shambles when he took over. No, he took responsibility for the situation and committed to work hard and fix it.
What did we get from good old Skwakins? "When we took over 4 years ago, this place had been burned to the ground". "We have to tighten a few things down". "We were 10 plays away from a bowl". We are doing it right. We have a great GPA, We are graduating kids, Blah, blah, blah. No accountability. Not a word about we coached poorly and have room to improve. No discussion of how the record is not acceptable and changes will be made.
