So, THIS is why Hawk wasn't fired today?

And with that link, I've taken my first trip to Netbuffs. It was kinda creepy.

--Cody's emergence as top QB changed things.

--Hawk will coach the rest of the season out of "respect for his family".

--DJ is in self-imposed exile from Netbuffs and will additionally wear a hair shirt.

In short, he said hawk would be gone today but, because cody is now qb, "out of repect for the hawkins family,dan will coach cody his last 5 games,and see if they can have some good memories of cu"...

I'd say more but i'm laughing too hard...
 
if hansen hadnt gone down... hawk would have been fired... and since hansen went down... they wont fire hawk until the end of the year

Thanks. What a load of crap. While it would be kind of stupid to fire him today (yesterday, or more appropriately Saturday afternoon at around 5:00 PM would have been better), the reasoning that he's coming up with here is absurd.

Sorry I misunderstood I thought you were asking why "DJ" wasn't saying that in his message.

As for the University? Look at KMM, and Patton, our pattern is to let people stick around for too long. CU in no way was going to reverse course and ****-can someone mid-season the fact so many people bought into that "scoop" and now seem to believe this latest round of posts on NB's floors me.
 
I dont even know who DJ is, I hardly ever go to Netbuffs. As far as reversing course, maybe they should. This plan sure as hell isnt working.
 
I'm not trying to be harsh here but I don't understand why Cody has anything to do with this? It sounds a lot like another excuse from the AD. This is year 5 and they want to keep Hawkins in place to see if he can go out with good memories?!? What about the millions of good memories in Hawkins's bank account courtesy of CU? And frankly, based on the last 4 years, what are the odds that the rest of this season is going to go any better? So, while the Hawkins clan continues to pave their exit out of Boulder in gold and happy feelings, the future of CU football has to be put on hold? Another thing I’m not clear on is if there is really any solid indication that Hawk will be relieved of his duties before his contract has expired? Why are we so sure this is his last year?
 
If this (Tyler getting hurt, good times w/Cody) is really why Hawk wasn't fired after the game, then I'm afraid I've sorely underestimated how stupid our administration is. That said, the entire story sounds like total BS
 
We need a new AD. My guess is Hackins stays till 2012 because we can't afford his buyout.
