The Buffs Soccer Team (12-4-1, 4-3-1) are also back in action tonight at 8pm when they travel to Tempe to face Arizona State (8-7-1, 3-4-1). The Buffs are coming off of a tough 1-0 loss to UCLA, for only their second loss in their last 7 games. Meanwhile, ASU is coming off of a 1-0 loss to Washington State and they are winless in their last 4 matches. The match will not be televised, but it will be shown for free by the Pac-12 Network. COLORADO VS. ARIZONA STATE: The Buffs are still looking for their first win over the Sun Devils. ASU leads the series with four victories, including two wins at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium. In their two meetings since the Buffs joined the Pac-12, the Sun Devils have outscored the Buffs 3-1. In Tempe last season, ASU got an early lead in the 19th minute, but Amy Barczuk evened the score before the break. As the squads pushed the game to double-overtime, ASU’s Cali Farquharson netted the game-winner in the final 22 seconds.
SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS: ASU holds an 8-7-1 overall, 3-4-1 Pac-12 record. Since taking down then-No. 2 Stanford and beating Oregon in back-to-back games, the Sun Devils have found themselves winless in their last five, including a 1-0 loss to Oregon State and a 3-0 defeat to No. 2 UCLA. Sophomore Cali Farquharson leads the squad with nine goals and one assist. Sarah Tosti and Devin Marshall each have scored at least four goals and added one assist. In the net, redshirt sophomore Chandler Morris has helped the team to seven shutouts and holds a 1.03 goals-against average.
