The lines were bad on the east side too. I couldn't find one that had less than 25-30 fans waiting to buy one.
Same thing happened the first games after allowing beer sales when RG opened the beer gardens. Now that we've established the demand (and didn't have any bad PR incidents), we'll see the vendors step up to meet that demand. Overly long lines on opening weekend are what business people call a good problem to have.

Sneaking hard liquor into Folsom is a long and storied tradition.
Rooftop was stupid. 2 kids in slow motion and 20 person deep lines. They could have tripled the number of people serving and not had anyone with idle time.
Paying each extra employee an hourly rate equal to the price of 1.5 beers
Would be so smart to have that, at least with all the non-alcoholic drinks. Would shorten the lines while adding revenue.

That was my first game as well in 1987...but i had a blast.
