Thought I'd use this thread to combine news and results from tennis team action during the non-conference portion of the schedule. (League play starts March 9th when the Wild Cats come to Boulder.) The Buffs up the team portion of the main spring season this Saturday, hosting the Rams at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center, with action scheduled to start at 11:00. (As noted in part of the below-quoted preview article, they played some individual matches last weekend, but there was no team scoring.)

BOULDER - The Colorado women's tennis team begins its dual-match season by hosting Colorado State at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center this Saturday, Jan. 20. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
The Buffaloes began the season last weekend at the Indiana Winter Invitational in a three-day event that also featured student-athletes from Marquette, Indiana, Abilene Christian, Wright State, DePaul and Mississippi State.
Overall, CU finished the weekend with a record of 4-10 in doubles play and 8-4 in singles matches. CU was led by senior Louise Ronaldson, senior Kyra Wojcik, junior Brigitte Beck and sophomore Chloe Hule, all going undefeated in singles play over the weekend, with Beck's wins coming in straight sets.
Colorado State opened its season last weekend as well, participating in the three-day Western Michigan Invitational in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Rams competed against student-athletes from Cleveland State, DePaul, Indiana, Notre Dame as well as the host Broncos.
Last season, Colorado swept CSU, 7-0, to notch its 31st straight win against the Rams. CU has never dropped a match against CSU, collecting 17 sweeps in total.
"We are excited to start our 2018 spring season," said head coach Nicole Kenneally. "The team has worked hard and we look forward to highlighting our players."
