the hype train has been derailed

I don't really give a **** about the Vegas line. CSU had two weeks to prepare and CU is not a complete team with depth yet. That will happen come December.

CU is 3 and 0 and has taken 6 in a row from the lambs.

I for one am just going to enjoy how far we have come since last year, and look forward to annihilating CSU in Canvas next season.

We knew we had major gaps. This was a really good win considering how the game went. We aren’t nearly deep enough to lose our key guys and start a true frosh at center. Ugly win but a win. Things get harder now and we have to catch a few breaks.

If we bowl this year it is a remarkable turnaround.

I think we got caught reading our own press while CSU had two weeks to prepare while everybody told them they sucked. It was a trap game and we almost got trapped. We got lucky. Hopefully the hype train will slow down a little, because this is just a pretty good football team. They’re not CFP contenders.

It’s easy to be the underdog, nobody expects anything and nobody really cares. It’s easy to bask in all the hype and and enjoy all the celebrity and attention that Prime has brought to the program. It’s really hard to put that huge target on your back and go out every week and perform against teams that will be increasingly motivated to beat you. We better get used to it. I think we all know we aren't quite there yet at being able to go out and totally dominate against the very best of every team we are going to play. It was an ugly game, but to come out with a win in the way they did says a lot more about this team than anything else that happened last night.

-23.5 and the game had to go to 2 OT - that's a failure for this team to come in and do their job of beating the hell out of inferior teams

Post sleep clarity: A lot of bad performances from big favorites yesterday and even last week. CU is not immune to it. CSU had two weeks to prepare for their Super Bowl and much of the gameplan was to goon it up and slow things down (among exploiting our defensive communication issues with crossing routes).

It felt like nobody in the program (coaches or players) really had an idea what this rivalry was and how much it means to CSU. It almost felt like they thought they could rest a bunch of guys and still just show up and win on superior talent alone.

The TCU offensive gameplan was amazing. The Nebraska gameplan was also good for the most part even if the execution took a while. This was the most vanilla offensive plan and playcalling we’ve seen so far, IMO and execution was also bad.

IMO, the only hope for the next two weeks is that this was all the case and they took this as a major wake up call

CU was outcoached. A lot of what Yak said. CSU ‘s qb kept making plays though and played above what you’d expect. CU needed to adjust to cover the crossing route and every CSU play was designed to get the ball to 14, very much like our offense was with LaViska. The high number of CSU penalties was their major exception from a coaching standpoint, but a lot of those came from players getting beat and playing out of control.

Overall, CSU successfully exploited weaknesses in the front 7(6?) and could consistently get 5 yd/play.

Depending on just out talenting the opposition won’t work against OU or USC or most of the PAC schedule.

We needed more of the play calls used in the 98 yard drive sooner in the game. CU was able to pick apart the prevent defense and I wanted to see more deep balls earlier.

To each an everyone of you who thinks this wasn't a mess we were 3 TD favorites in our own building against a team who was every bit as bad as us last year year and got smoked in week 1.

CSU should never be within 2 TDs of us.
We probably won’t even notice there’s a game next weekend.

My god, we have a bit of success to start the season and some folks in this board turn into entitled whiners. We’re still WAY early into this rebuild. Anyone who thought we’d all of a sudden turned into peak Bama was seriously delusional. No matter how good Prime is, this is going to take time and there will be ups and downs along the way. The way some of you melt down over a bit of adversity is embarrassing.

You’re 100% Correct. if this is just the beginning of a rebuild, just think where CP is gonna take us.
