Let's see how he handles his next football hire first.
:stupid: Exactly, extend after a history of success. Things look up for Bohn in the short term, let's see if he can keep the momentum for a while first.No. You don't extend the first time good things happen. That's what got us in trouble with Hawkins.
This is definitely positive, but you don't rush to lock people into long term deals because if they do well, they might leave. But if they suck, you're stuck with them.
Two things - one, how much time is left on his contract? Two, who is our next football coach? If he has one year left on the contract, I'd say go ahead and give him a three year extension now. If it's more than that, I'd wait.
I don't care who you are, you have got to be impressed with the way he has handled this stuff with the Pac. Absolutely spot-on brilliant. Not just a home run, but a grand slam. He pushed all the right buttons and said all the right things to the right people while managing to avoid saying the wrong things to the wrong people. Meanwhile, those goofs in Texas have been tripping over their dicks for the last three weeks.

I think this APR thing says a lot about Bohn, how could a well managed Athletic Dept have let that happen? Add to that the fact that the none of the 3 biggest programs (Football, Mens bball and Womens bball) have had a winning conference record in four years, and there is no question in my mind he shouldn't be extended. About the only thing he has proven to be good at is mobilizing donors.
While the P10 thing is a coup, given the state of the programs and the APR embarrassment, I have to believe the P10 wanted CU no matter what.
I don't know if it's time to extend Mike Bohn...
but I do know it's time for Unleash to get a new clock! :bounce::dance:
