I'm planning on it, but I won't make it out until Friday morning too. Games are at the MGM, but where are folks staying. Mrs. Ewing wants to stay at one of the nicer places up on the north end of the strip.
Staying at the hard rock. Got great room rates, less than $100 per night friday, saturday and sunday night.
I'll be there. I'll be staying in the dump across the street from MGM, The Excalibur. But the whole trip with airfare was $480 per person Tuesday-Sunday.
There's somewhere between 7-15 band alumni going. I'll be there starting Wednesday morning. Suite at the MGM so we can stumble back to the room.
I'll be there with 12 other buddies. Staying in the MGM suites.
I'll be there with Buffalo Brad. Staying at MGM.
thanks for letting us stay with you guys!
Pac-12 is putting up at least some of the bands if not all of them at the Tropicana across the street.
Damn, the Grand is going to be a ****show.
I'm going with a buddy or two. We are staying at the Quad. No clue if it is a dump, but it was cheap. Is anyone driving? I am considering it, but I really hate the idea of sitting in the car for 12 hours straight.
Will be there for the full tourney with a couple of buddies. Probably staying at Tropicana, but haven't decided on accommodations yet.
Isn't the Quad the hotel formerly known as Imperial Palace?
If so, yeah, it's a dump. And toward the north end of the strip. You should look into the monorail. Picks up at IP (Quad) and ends at MGM, pretty much right outside the arena...
Does Southwest prefer we just never leave Vegas? Only 61 bucks to fly there. 200 plus to get home. Just booked my flight. CAN'T WAIT:dance:
It's not the greatest, but he's a college kid. It's a bed and it does the trick.
I've never seen the point in paying for a fancy room in Vegas. Just figured there was no point in setting his expectations too high.
I do think I read that they're doing some renovations there, so hopefully it is improved over the reputation the IP had. The monorail advice is gold, though. He can be at the arena in about 5 minutes instead of walking a mile or more to get there....
IP was definitely about 20 years overdue for renovations. Good news if true.
I just graduated in May. I have standards now... I need a clean bed.
Your bed will be clean in there. I assure you that. Just don't expect the Vegas "glitz and glamor".
Already booked + 3 other guys for guys weekend. Jumped on that $12 tickets deal the Pac 12 ran on 12/12/12.
This is going to be quite the sausage fest.
