Vikings keep Bieniemy from USC

i'm fine with that play. we ran it all year and killed people with it, god damn opportunistic saints defense. the fumbles and refs...don't start.

It would be nice to have eb on staff, a guy that actually shows emotion and has some pride. The rest of our staff other than cabral and hagan have the same ho-hum attitude about losing as the head coach and hagan hasn't been the rb's coach we all thought to this point.

What do you think of EB as a rb coach? My buddy is a Vikings fan and I've talked to him a few times about EB and he loves him. He mostly attributes AP's fumbling problems to AP just running really hard. He also showed me some stat that showed AP has fumbled less over his first 3 years than numerous hall of fame backs did in their first 3 years.

This is great news! Any job that EB would take right now would mean that he most likely would be in that position for at least 3-4 years. Maybe EB knows the writing is on the wall and his chance may come in the next few months once Hawk finally bites the dust. Don't of a better option out there for CU. EB would come cheaper than most, has great CA ties and would fire up everyone from the players to the alumni and that is something this school needs more than anything. Combine all that with a fresh start in the PAC and he could do amazing things in 4 years.

i like him too. ap hopefully will be more careful with the ball and learn to take what is given. if he doesn't i have no problem trading him.

Not sure if this is pertinent or not, but, I was in the stands prior to the CU-OU game in '02 (closed end of the stadium). Prior to the game, EB was in the back of the end zone reminding the RB's to hold onto the rock -- each back had a ball and he would walk up and grab the front end and pull down or pull out on it. Some might recall that the backs fumbled once or twice during that game (altho, the fumble on the kick return was the killer)

I think EB (and all good rb coaches, for that matter) works well with the backs and keeping possession. Does his message always get thru to them? Dunno. Are they working on this at full speed in practice? Can't say. Gotta imagine it's a whole different animal during the game.

I wouldn't mind having EB come in as OC at some point in the future. Seems like a logical next step in his coaching progression; return to the alma mater, move up in responsibilities, and then.....well, who knows whats possible. It'll either make him or break him as a coach.
