The holder for kicks puts it at 45 degrees 90 degrees to the kicker, not 180 like he should. Why try and hurt your fg kicker?
 
Despite a blocked FG and GW FG, Neinas needs to be gone YESTERDAY! Special teams damn near cost the game again!
 
He's still the obvious weak link of the staff and needed to be gone long ago. Unfortunately, Mac doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would pull a cutthroat, but smart move to get rid of him mid-season.
 
Nepotistic hiring have no place in CFB. That asshat would be working at Wal-Mart if it wasn't for his dad. Overpaid towel boy should be demoted to hydration specialist.

Donovan lee almost took that kick to the house. I don't know how long it will take but we are going to have a kick return with him or PL back there. That being said Toby needs to go.
 
I would like to know which coaches help in coaching the special teams. If it solely Neinas (which would surprise me), he needs less responsibilities.
 
Why can't our kickoff "specialist" clear the end zone consistently? I don't get it. I don't really blame Neinas for it more than we just don't have guys with big legs. Although, if Diego can hit a 52 yarder easily with 3 steps, why the hell can't he blast one 75 yards with a run up to the ball?
 
The kick offs have to be intentional. Usually it has worked, but when it hasn't...
 
The kickoffs were short and spinning sideways. Had to be intentional, because he was booting them out the back, end over end against UMass.
 
I would think on an intentionally short kick, the optimum would be a high kick to one side of the field. He kind of did that on the opening kick. Of course, our coverage was a disaster. After that, we did OK on the other kicks.

This narrative is an interesting choice. It was very much a mixed bag. To argue special teams flat out won the game is disingenuous.
