Guess his decision to quit and transfer did some good.
Good for Brian. He's gone through a lot. Nice to see it pay off.
Can never dwell on could have, should have, would have.
What? I thought that is what this Board (and others like it) are all about.
Good for him.
I don't think anyone ever doubted his physical abilities. It was the mental part of the game he never quite had a grasp on - at least while he was here.
So if Colt Brennan made a team (was he ever drafted) that'd make 2 former Buffs...
What is Craig Ochs doing these days?
Best of luck to him.
Drafted by Washington.
That's Brennan. Ochs is an assistant at University of Montana.
I thought the word around buff nation was white couldn't read a playbook?
I'm sure he can read, but he apparently couldn't remember the playbook. In practices he was forgetting plays to call in the huddle, etc.
Then he'll be perfect for the Raiders. All he has to do there is throw the ball at whoever Al Davis is screaming in his ear to throw it to and he'll be a great success there. Who needs a playbook???
Well, he could do well in Oakland. Big Al just wants somebody to drop back and throw deep. That's not too hard to remember...
where the hell did he even go?!?!?
i reiterate where the hell did he go haha
Even though I live here I don't pay attention to Portland State at all. Heck, I didn't even know that Brian White had ended up there. The only thing that I do know about them (cause it's in the papers all the time) is that they are coached by Jerry Glanville (yes, that Jerry Glanville).
Tickets for Elvis are at the box office.
ESPN did a feature on Portland State last fall, it may have even been on GameDay. I seem to recall them talking about how Portland State had either just moved up to a higher division or was trying to do so.
where the hell is Portland State? Maine or Oregon?
The reality is that if you can play football, the NFL doesn't really care where you went to college. Go back and look at the draft. I think it's great that a lot of these guys can still have a shot, even at a 1-AA school.
the correct answer: IT DOES NOT MATTER
Too bad. I was hoping he could end up playing PROFESSIONAL football... :sad1:
I cannot forget the second half of the bowl game vs Clemson, where White looked good...and, the impact he may have had in the horrible following year. Of course, if he cannot read or remember anything, perhaps he could not have done better than BJax.
I think about 90% of us honestly felt that the starting job was his to lose that year. While none of us will ever know what exactly happened, speculation that I heard was that he felt the job was just going to be handed to him and that he didn't need to work for it. That's the express lane to Hawk's doghouse.
And Hawk's probably not gonna dumb down the playbook for one dude no matter what position. He's like a good AP chem course prof. Fair, but get the hell out if you can't hang. Evidently he couldn't grasp the playbook unless it was modified into a video game - and that was a stretch.
Try Montana. Just kiddin
Well yet again Mr. White is dead to me, dead yes i am kidding and good luck but not with the Raiders.
Separate names with a comma.
