Alex Lewis transferring to Neb

Kid was a husker all along, but didn't get a high school offer from them. Nebraska came a calling and he had a redshirt to use. It certainly hurts, but what can you do?

Well that sucks the big one.

You're welcome Nebraska I guess? We'll take the 250 pounders you don't want, train them up, get them experience, then you can reap the benefits.

If the kid didn't want to be at CU anymore then that is his decision, college football is already hard enough so if he wasn't happy at CU then I don't have a problem with him leaving. In fairness his family is all Nebraska so you can't really blame him for what he did. It does stink losing him and DB though if we had both of those guys on our OL we probably get another win or 2 this year.

We definitely need to hit the recruiting trail for some quality OL prospects this year no more projects we need some 4 star type guys that will come in here and compete right awat. How you convince them to come I don't know but, we gotta find a way. We also need to get at least 2 JUCO OL next cycle.

"He's the real deal," former Nebraska defensive coordinator and personal friend of the Lewis family Charlie McBride told HuskerOnline.com. "He's going to play on Sundays. He's one of those guys that nobody went after because he was only 245 pounds. Had he been in Nebraska it wouldn't have been a question for him to get an offer from them out of high school.
"I just talked to (Jeff) Jamrog (Nebraska director of football operations) and I heard the news (Friday) morning that he was transferring. That's a good deal for Nebraska. I know he wanted to go somewhere and be around guys that want to win."

So the school that did take a chance and offer him a scholarship gets ditched? Got it.

lol? What does that have to do with anything. What a joke, Nebraska knew all about him, they just didn't think he was good enough.

Gotta give Alex credit, not many people could get spurned like that, go to the rival school, all while maintaining an undying love for da Huskars.

This sure feels premeditated, like it was the plan all along. It wouldn't upset me if Mac included Nebraska on the list of restricted schools when granting his scholarship release, though I know he won't.

The transfer of Alex Lewis to Nebraska reveals just how far the Buff program has fallen. The kid seems like the read\l deal so he will be missed for at least this season. Tough loss.

But this does provide an opportunity for a young lineman to step up and take charge. Who will be that man?

Actually last season reveals just how far the Buff program has fallen. Of course, that kind of evidence might be too hard for you to comprehend.

We all saw the 7-year-old score in the spring game. You guys acted like that was staged, but it really just looked a highlight from the Wisconsin game.

Yes it was staged, but he could have made the same run if the Buffs were lined up.

Yes, yes it is, the Huskers have never fallen to such depths.

Hard to fall hard when you already live at the bottom of a ****hole. When the football program is the only thing in the whole godforsaken state that is worth being happy about or even noticing you better not let it fall to those depths.

And the front range is the most lovely place on earth, last time I drove I-70 there was not even a fence on the R.O.W. lines on that road, then I looked around and and found out there is not a damn thing to keep in there, and then I saw for sale signs for 600 acres, and I thought "For Sale!! hell they should give it away for what it would cost to transfer the Deed.

And yet, the mighty fuskers are the team recruiting transfers from the team that has fallen so far. What does that say about your program?

You have a nice State. But not all of it is mountains, Colorado has it's bad parts, and is flatter than Nebraska, and with less trees.
