CSU stadium

So, next year you'll have nothing but nice things to say about my Rams? If you promise, I'll quit the minor trash talking, I've been mostly nice here.
Well, no. Next year, we will be mean again. That's how things work. You haven't been mean yet, btw. I think you are really nice. Who do you think sucks more, your 3d string, now starting, tackle, or our defensive ends who are all frosh or converted DT's?

Look back and see how we responded after the 2012. We acknowledged our defeat, and were pretty gracious to the CSU team that beat us if I remember correctly.

It's not a matter of nice or otherwise. Your smack has just been a little lame. We're two bad teams right now. But this bowl game bravado that CSU seems to be basking in is a little sad.

That was depressing, but actually a favor since it was a big part of embree getting fired. I hope we shut them out again. I'm really gonna miss the talking point about how we've shut them out more times than they've won when it eventually goes away.

What the **** is wrong with you? Are you a ****ing choir girl? Did you really just use ****ing swearing as a mother****ing suggestion of a ****ing insult? That's got to be the absolute worst piece of **** talking I've ever seen. Take a lap, and then work on your math. By the way, the two wins you are forgetting were against teams that were about as good as CSU. We got ****ty wins last year, and CSU was one of them.

Such horrible trash rash talking by me? Seems to have fired you up. But really not my intent.

I have to admit, that's a little concerning, I haven't seen much of Carlson, hearing good things, but? Certainly I haven't seen your new DE's, you tell me.

I would hope not. I'm just trying to motivate you to do better. you can. as for our DE's, there is little hype to be had, and what little of it I've heard I'm not buying. Do you worry that your new tackle is dominating against inferior camp competition?

Nope, as I don't buy into the premise, our D line is not inferior. Although we probably need to develop some depth there.

It wouldn't be a shock if Sparkles is gone fairly soon and it also wouldn't be a shock if he left with a substantially smaller buyout. His contract was written with the expectation (dream) that they would be playing in a big new stadium with increased revenue streams. Now they are looking at stagnant if not slowly decreasing revenues as they slide into obscurity.

If they get and win another 1-2 bowls which considering the competition level in the MWC is not hard to see somebody at a bigger program could very easily be coming after him. At the same time CSU may be very willing to quietly renegotiate the release from the contract to get out from under a coaching salary that they can't afford.

On the other hand if they go in the tank and return to their losing ways they have a big coaches salary to pay and won't be able to afford to replace him. He better be buying his agent nice Christmas presents for getting him this contract extension.

At that point they will hire Joey Porter as HC to return to the glory years...

talking **** about a game where you lost by double digits strikes me as a losing effort. Good luck with that. I guess CSU fans have to take whatever victories they can find, no matter how small or depressing they may be.

If memory serves, this is the same guy who constructed the "CU doesn't beat CSU as often as they should" argument, and then proceeded to wear it as a badge of honor. So, arguing that a two TD loss is somehow indicative of FB prowess isn't surprising.

Honestly how do you think you would have done playing USC, UCLA, etc.

Remembering how we beat you up pretty well in the game you don't think that we would have won a lot more games if we were playing MWC level competition.

You went to a bowl because you played in a pathetic conference and as a result had a weak schedule. Even with that you ended up losing to every team you played that had winning records on the year.

Exactly. CSU was one of the tallest midgets in the Mtn. Weenie Div.

Why are you all letting yourselves be dragged down by idots? Their posts are mostly pathetic. Throw a quarter in their cup and move on.

i don't think you understand how things work. We can talk trash because we kicked CSUs ass. You... You got nothing.

And by nothing we mean you have no history of historical significance-Wake Forest and UCF have played in more major bowl games than you. You have no present--scoreboard, slappy- and niiiiiice season ticket sales, if your football team played at Moby instead of Hughes. And with the firing of your fearless leader and lack of direction on your on campus boondoggle your future viablity is in serious jeopardy.

please retort with something clever. We are getting closer to game day. you gotta find some lesss-stale smack.

I'm not convinced of that. The goats don't have scoreboard in anything. Their AD just got fired. Their grand plans for a half empty new stadium are in the recycle bin. Their biggest cheerleader just publicly called them out. They don't have much to chirp about.

I really don't think the stadium is written into Sparkles' contract.....
I would bet that it was written into his contract because it's actually a good clause for *both* sides.

1. It's good for sparkles because he gets an out if he doesn't get the facilities he needs to succeed - it also provides him pretty good cover in the job hunt: "I did as well as could be done there, see this clause? Even the school agreed that a lack of facilities was a limiting factor, and they couldn't hold up their end."

2. It's good for the goats because they can get out from under that salary if the alleged revenue stream from a new stadium never comes in.

It's a pretty rare win-win situation in negotiations, so they would have been idots to not include it (which of course ups the chances that said clause doesn't actually exist).

We also wrote it in to MM's and Bzdelik's contracts. Not like this is unique when it is an obvious need the university is trying to sell as being solved when signing a contract with a head coach.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Bohn did it because he felt like he needed the leverage with donors to actually get said facility built. Separate discussion on that point entirely.

There's a big difference between facility upgrades and an entirely new stadium, though.

Skibum, your #2 suggests that CSU can exercise a clause based on their own failure to execute. Really?

I don't think he means CSU would get rid of him. I think he means Sparkles, sorry HCSparkles, could move on to a different job. Maybe a Gene Chizik situation?

Yep. It's sort of a semi-public announcement that "you can poach our coach, it won't cost you much and there's not really much we can do stop you." It makes him a much more viable candidate for a long list of schools that can't take on a large buyout.

You mean other than goat ****ing. They are the world leaders in that, I'm told. Goat ****ing during satanic rituals with coeds is just an allegation at this point.

option 3 (phased build of on campus) is still their best option, even if it will be as small time as it gets.

They could dissolve the football program and those yahoos would spin it in a positive way. Always a silver lining.

Wouldn't be shocked if they spend more on football than they make. Killing their program might not be a bad idea for them.
