Official CU vs ASU game day thread

I actually think Mac leaving Sefo in for the entire game smells like desperation to save his job.

Undefeated really wants to push the narrative that RG told Mac he was good to go no matter what awful results occur this year, but I don't see it.
Me neither. RG has been removing every obstacle to success at CU. He has been letting Mac tighten his own noose. I suspect that RG already has a pretty strong exit plan on this one. Mac wasn't his hire.

The defense played reasonably well in spite of bizarre plays and no help from the O.
A couple of guys stepped up a little on offense - Lee and Ross. The Freshman had a few decent runs. I could see some indidcation that they're catching on. I think we'll win a few conference games, particularly if we get a few banged up guys back.

The fantasy/fiction/theory that Leavitt was hired to be DC but could be given an opportunity to take over is looking more plausible.

Even if it wasn't the decision initially, I think it would make a lot of sense, and work really well here.

@RK asked him in an interview if he ever wanted to be a head coach again, and his answer was very uncomfortable IMO

Why don't you fire Mac after last year then?

Don't think he deserved firing last year.

Can't go 0fer in conference 2 years in a row. Can't do it.

As far as the Leavitt thing, I think he needed to rebuild his image some at the college level after the USF thing.

Maybe he was never hired with the intention of becoming a HC, but it might work out that way, and I wouldn't be too upset about it, if it came down to that.

You've caught my attention.

The situation with Mac is damned touchy. If he is fired, we probably lose this recruiting class, will have to pay buy outs and will be starting over yet again. I'd imagine we are pretty cash strapped right now with the building program we have to pay for and the less than expected cash flow from the Pac 12. I wouldn't mind a change, but I think Rick George almost has to give him another year. Next year he'll have a veteran team and, hopefully, healthy players.

Sounds just like the Hawkins final year and look what happened. If HCMM cannot win a conference game this year then RG has to move on. Period.

Not to be all optimistic and ****, but it's still all about Arizona, Wazzu, and OSU. Those are the key games. Must win at mother****ing least one of them.

That said, my hopes of that win coming against Arizona or Wazzu took a serious dive today.

We can win any of these games as long as we don't **** ourselves. We can't spot teams 14pts either.

We got in our own damn way too early and too often tonight and against Oregon.

ASU got some of the luckiest plays I've ever seen in the first half. We've all seen lucky plays, but two of them that went for touchdowns within 15 minutes of the start of the game is unexplained luck.

Bad breaks happen. But ffs, the DB hitting the ball UP is a problem. Those are fundamentals.

KOA is full of idiots.
