I said in many a post, I thought the Buffs were likely a 4-5 win team.

They proved me wrong, I figuratively eat my crow herein.

Great game against Stanford. Huge win. The much maligned OL (also a topic upon which I have opined, in error), has been opening holes for the madman Lindsay, the rushing fool (meant in the most positive way, the dude is a beast).

I eat my crow with a grin, GO BUFFS.

Don't be too hard on yourself. No one expected us to be this good. Not even tini.

I'll eat crow too. I don't remember what I predicted for this season, but it most certainly wasn't this.

"Tastes like chicken."

only a crazy person calls a Tasmanian devil a fool.

Also in. failed to believe in the rise. Forget if I thought 5-7 or 6-6, but damn, definitely looks like I will be wrong about how real it was and is.

I was all "show-me"

Now i'm all "yessir"

I'll take seconds on that crow - just for good measure, thanks.

I thought if we made a bowl game I'd be ecstatic and thought the team could improve and finish the close games we struggled to win the few years before.

I'm so happy to be wrong. I'm way more excited about the buffs than I am the broncos.

The preseason term "no hoper" in predicting the Michigan, Oregon, USC, and Stanford games kinda bugs me. There is no "no hoper".

Let's go puch Ohio State in the mouth at the Rose Bowl.

I'm now a MacIntyre fan, and wasn't so sure about that before the season. Preseason I was thinking it'd be 50-50 to stop the poop thread. I'll have a crow wing. The "no-hopers" can dine on the breast and gizzard.

It was easy to say "show me" after we had heard year after year that this was the year they finally break through. How many times did Hawkins tell us this thing was ready to pop? Embree told us we were going to a bowl game in 2012. We have had a steady diet of unblockable defensive linemen and unguardable receivers. At a certain point, when you've heard that year after year, you tune it out. Not surprising at all that most of us didn't see this coming. Nobody outside of that locker room saw this coming.

So yeah, give me a helping of that crow. I'll grill it up with some Cajun spices and put in next weeks jambalaya.

I had us at 5 wins if the ball bounced the right way a few times. Was actually more on the 4 wins side. So glad I was wrong. I'll eat crow anytime. It actually taste pretty good. Next season is going to be a tough pre-season call.. UNDEFEATED.

10 wins and no excuses.

...
We've all had reasons to doubt. I picked 5-7 wins in the preseason poll too.

Even the most optimistic didn't see 6 wins at this point in the season. I don't think predicting bowl eligibility should mean eating crow because they are currently blowing expectations out of the water. As nik stated, I think I predicted 7 wins, but that is now a very disappointing win total if it ends up being correct.

I think I said 7 too, I'd take a bit more. Like I said before the Weed Whacker Bowl is not where these guys wanna be. I'm already proud but I hope they keep their goal of just winning the whole ****ing thing.

Well, I was clearly wrong, and a little hard on the team...I am very happy to be wrong and very happy with how well they are doing. Right now I think 7 w's is probably the low water mark and other than that the sky is the limit.

Right before the season started, I had the Buffs (being reasonably optimistic) at 5-3 after 8 games, with losses to Michigan, Oregon, and Stanford at this point. Glad to be wrong about the Oregon and Stanford things; I was also wrong about USC.

same, I figured we'd be somewhere in the 5 win range. I was really concerned about Sefo not being ready and going down and us not having anything behind him. I also didn't think we'd see a much improved OL with the simple Adams Bernardi swap. I knew we'd have a decent defense, but not winning games 10-5 vs Stanford good.

I was so on it with ST, though!
