2018-2019 Coaching Carousel..

None of that will fly with RG.

More likely that Roper gets promoted to Co-OC and takes over playcalling while Chev goes back to WRs and recruiting but keeps the co-OC title with Adams the odd man out. There will be changes on the coaching staff if MM earns the opportunity to stay over the next month.

CU doesn't beat a rising AZ, on the road, after this loss. We will let OSU beat us twice.
WSU and UU can write down any score they want to right now and make it stick.
CAL is the only chance. And that's on the road, after 6 straight losses.

Let's see what happens with Shenault. If he plays, our kids probably get a much needed confidence boost, and he can win us a game by himself............and "rising" Arizona? Easy there. Its gonna be a tough game, but I wouldn't assume the switch got flipped quite yet. They got pasted by Utah and then lost at UCLA before they beat up on Oregon. I think this past weekend was more of product of this league being trash than anything.

Good time to get a type of post like this up here given we might be in this mix this year. What are we looking at for possible P5 openings?
ACC-GA Tech, North Carolina, Louisville
SEC-Auburn, Vanderbilt
Big 10-Rutgers
Big 12-Both Kansas schools, Oklahoma State? (I suppose, but I think Gundy is a lot like Whittingham at Utah)
Pac 12-us, USC

If Okie St fires Gundy, that makes life really simple for RG. Hire that guy ASAP

Fire the guy responsible for bringing in the only real talent this team has on offense and OC for a top 3 scoring offense in the conference? That’s not going to happen.
In conference we are not top 3. Squarely mediocre

Tate is 100% or close to it. Their OC has figured out how to use him - he wasn't close to healthy for UU or UCLA
They have a TON of momentum.
They just beat 19 Oregon. Handily

Contrast:
CU - May get Viska back. If so, doubtful that he is 100%
OC has completely forgotten how to call games and / or only has one gameplan and teams have figured that out
0-3 streak
on the road
just lost to THE WORST TEAM in P5 football @Home

Sorry, Charmin soft ain't got it in him to win this game. His team will follow the lead and lay down.

With just short of $10M owed to MM plus every assistant other than Bernardi under contract for another year, this isn't a discussion unless we either see utter collapse or MM hired away. I think RG would pull the trigger and fire him at 5-7 or 6-6 if he couldn't work with MM's agent to find another program willing to hire him away, but it would be a tough financial nut.
Howell says there is an offset on the buyout, meaning if he gets a job, it reduces the buyout. Is this true?

Huh? According to ESPN, Buffs are #3 scoring offense in Pac 12 at 32 ppl behind Oregon and WSU.

I can't say I'm overly educated on the football stats stuff, but I thought S&P was SOS adjusted, so maybe that's why they're radically different?

Pete Kwiatkowski
Washington Defensive Coordinator
Solid choice for this job
Keep Roper, possibly Chiv, and Drake
Elliott and his crew have been solid, so hate that the only weak link is MM

Doesn't call their defensive signals anymore. Jimmy Lake does.

Hahaha hire a new coach and force the entire underperforming staff on him. Sounds legit

I do not buy into Adams or Bernardi also and should have included then in the weak link comment, and yes the others, except maybe Roper and Drake are replaceable. My point is that MM is the main weak link to the success of the program.

On January 12, 2010, Brown was announced as the offensive coordinator at Texas Tech under new Red Raiders head coach Tommy Tuberville. During the 2010 football season, the Red Raider offense performed well. During his tenure at Texas Tech, Brown perfected his NASCAR spread offense. The offense created by Brown focused on players running to the line immediately after the play and quickly snapping the ball before the defense could get set. The offense requires speed at every position to be run the way Brown envisions it. The focus of the offense was to snap the ball 8 seconds after the previous play.

ok I'm sold, Neal Brown it is.
