I am told that Coach was successfully Air Lifted to Jackson on an Airbus Helicopter H145. There was a delay in getting airborne due to some weather, but they were able to find a window and got him down there safely.
From what I am told, the next few hours are critical. Coach has a long road ahead of him. The situation is very, very serious. If you are the praying type, Coach Leach, his family and the attending physicians could use your prayers. If you are not the praying type, then perhaps you can make an exception in these circumstances.
This is not some fire drill or something that just involves a cough. Coach needs your prayers and he needs them right here and now.

This is from the Mississippi State 247 publisher on Leach. That sounds REALLY serious.

Based on the suddenness onset and the description about the next few hours being critical….this has to be a stroke of heart attack, no?

I didn’t realise it was so time sensitive when I saw the initial headline that they named an interim due to a medical emergency, which can be anything, but when I saw that and saw that he got airlifted I knew it serious as they only do that if they know that every second counts.

This sounds really bad. Like, even if he recovers, it’s unlikely he’ll be in any position to coach again.

If the rumors regarding oxygen deprivation are true....****! I unfortunately have experience here, and what was suggested was to wait for a few days to see what kind of brain activity (if any) returns. If he doesn't rebound to the point where he can live a meaningful life, you're faced with the decision of pulling the plug. I feel terrible for his family.

It is a terrible situation for the family - no one should have to make those decisions for a loved one.

Which is why everyone should do a medical directive for themselves. You make the decision, don't force it on your loved ones.

No one should go this young.
