Yormark knows he has all the leverage. I'm assuming Utah, ASU, UA, UO, and UW all know they likely have a spot in the Big 12 if they want it. That's what I meant by 18.

If not, I think you could take San Diego State just to troll Kliavkoff and stop there.

But I'm confident that any remaining leverage the PAC had propping things up against broadcast media came tumbling down like a Nebraska grandma thrown down the Folsom steps the minute RG stormed out of that meeting on media day. Put a fork in em.

For football, you're generally chartering, so it's always direct and equal distance is equal pain.

For every other sport though: there are 20+ direct LAX-EWR flights every single day. Your travel time is like 6 hours. It sucks, but is what it is.

Pullman to Orlando? There *might* be one or two daily options to get there with one layover; more likely you're looking at 3 flights and 2 layovers. Good luck getting that travel time down below 10 hours with any level of convenience.

Man. The level of annoyance in this post, you'd think the post you responded to was egregiously out of line.

The point is LA to NJ is a long ****ing flight. Pullman to Orlando is also a long ****ing flight with more logistics involved. Maybe it's a bit worse, but it's not substantially different.

Perhaps you'd like to replace Pullman to Orlando with Eugene to Orlando. Is that a better comparison?

To be fair, this whole board has been saying more or less the same thing, every week, for months. And when it finally happened, someone was correct.

Most would like the move a lot, it would establish the Big12 firmly as the #3 football conference and the #1 basketball conference in the country.

My impression from most of the replies I've seen is that more Pac additions is something most of us would feel is signicantly positive for CU. We don't perfectly fit either conference's geography and have important ties to both. When politics creeps in, you also see the purple state CO stuff where we're a state that's home to "Focus on the Family" Colorado Springs, "Berkeley of the Rockies" Boulder, and everything in between. So a conference which balanced Midwest, Southwest, Rocky Mountain and Pacific Coast is pretty much as home for CU/CO as you can get.
