Official ****braska Hate Thread

A slice of history, at the risk of pissing folks off:

Before statehood, all of Colorado, North of the 40th parallel, was Nebraska Territory. The 40th is Baseline Rd and the whole CU campus is North of it.
Incorrect

South of the 40th was Kansas territory until the Colorado territory was formed. 15 years before statehood.

Willville and South campus are south of Baseline rd.

Ugh. I had to stop when he used the term “very unique”. There’s no such thing.

/Englishrant.
I find it very helpful to be told the degree to which something is one of a kind. If someone just says "unique" then how am I supposed to know if they mean that it's actually unique, not unique at all, or pretty close to being unique? 🤔

Edit: similar to how someone should not just tell me she is pregnant. Is she just sort of pregnant or very pregnant? No way to tell if she just says "pregnant."

It’s literally unique

You know you’re getting old when pretty much all attempts to amend the English language annoy the living hell out of you. I crossed that Rubicon about five years ago. I now find it almost impossible to listen to somebody who uses the term “literally” without having the urge to punch him.

wha? why is a Sooner on the left, Bama on the Right, and a "9" on the Sooner penis?

Feel free to answer just the Sooner/ Bama part. If anyone knows why the "9" is there, i am going to be very skeptical of your behavior.

Dr Tom might have loved the Buffs more than we thought (look at tie). Surveyor is placed on suicide watch.
