CU Assistant Coach Hiring Thread

I alluded to this in previous posts, but I think RG would be right to be be cautious about Sapp.....especially in Boulder. Don't get me wrong, he is one of my all time favorites, and I want the type of kids that would want to play for him....but he doesn't really have a great reputation when it comes to interpersonal interactions.

It's a job where you could flip the program in a few seasons and jump to a better program. Mendenhall is familiar with the Mountain West.
Never happen. NMSU pulls any mid player that stays in state, they have no funding and face 10 teams in the conference that are lightyears better and will always be.

Good to see that we are getting some coaches from the Big 12 as we join that conference next season.

So what the **** is going on here?

I see statements with names with no references and somehow this is making it fact. I’m so confused.

I’m not necessarily doubting temper Buffs source, but I find it odd that Rick George supposedly has a lot of input on the coaches coming in because he’s evaluating their recruiting potential, their experience, and whether or not he thinks they can cut it.

But then again, that bag of dicks is arrogant and stupid so I could see him trying to force hires on Prime the same way he did with Hagan

Would be a great way to ensure it's a 2 year project. Classic rg to **** the relationship up.

SDSU ever get TV slots? I’m a tad bit interested to see how their next season goes for some odd reason.
I saw them play against Air Force this past year... Lewis and company have their work cut out for them. Air Force absolutely obliterated San Diego State

Rick likes Sapp but is unsure if he can fully be a DL / DE Coach. We might bring someone else in.

Edit: If you can see the effect of losing Nick Williams is having for our potential recruits, you'll see why George is iffy,
I actually cannot see why that would make him iffy on any coach. Williams is an elite recruiter who has been building relationships with these players for at least several months. Even if the new guy is an all-timer and HOFer, that doesn’t change the relationship.

We also might be poaching Matt Wells from OU. He's an assistant there and will be an assistant here to help coach QBs.
He's an analyst for them right now. Didn't get their OC gig, but could wind up coaching QBs there. Lebby had that position responsibility for them.

Need to offer him a co-OC title if we want him imo.
