It is CSU week

They cannot pass deep and we can. Provided we do not give them short fields on kickoffs, we should win by a couple TDs. We need to be blitzing a lot.

And CSU hasn't seen a team with anything approaching a passing threat this year. NM's QB sucks out loud, and Lobato didn't even play for UNC yesterday. Parker Orms' brother split time with some other dude at QB for them yesterday. We should be able to move the ball up and down the field on them. But every time it looks that way, they usually come out playing out of their asses and make it look tougher than it should.

I watched the first part of the game and holy crap was Orms bad. He had one interception that looked like something a middle schooler would throw. No one hit him and he threw a wounded duck that floated in the air for a good 3 seconds before landing right in the arms of a CSU defender.

I'd blitz cu 3 out of every 4th play-

Fortunately we do seem to have a good understanding of the screen. Keep 'em honest.

CSU has some confidence no matter who they played. We don't know how to win, no matter how much better we played against Cal. I am pretty confident our defense is going to make Pete look pretty good. We need to put up some points. I am worried. Loved the fight from the team against Cal though. Even though we lost, I am proud of the team.

I didn't bother to watch any of the game when it was replayed last night.

Were there 19,000 Greeley folks in the stands as tini implied?

No. I was at the game and "tini" has no idea what he is talking about. If there were 2,000 UNC fans at the game I would be very suprised. The entire place was orange for Ag-Day so it was pretty easy to tell. Frankly I was dissappointed more UNC folks didn't show. I was really hoping the Bears would have brought around 5,000 to boost the overall attendance numbers which I believe ended up somewhere in the 26K range

Man walks on moon, dude...man walks on moon.

Wonder if the CSU fans are gonna show up for this game? They probably think they are gonna win big time.

Those would have been some impressive numbers! Counting on UNC to boost home attendance...sad.

I am interested to see about that myself. My guess is we pull something in the 25,000 range. Most fans I have talked to are not overly confident coming into this game. The defense looks improved, but the loss of Sisson was devastating last week. The offense also looks like it has a lot of work to do. This year reminds me a lot of 2009. If CSU can control the offensive line of scrimmage, run the football and hit some play-action passes we will have a chance. If we get down early and are forced to play from behind it could be a lopsided RMS this season.

Saw you guys put up 250 passing... Do you have any WR worth a damn? Cause if its your front 7 v ours, advantage us.

Our best pass catcher is Greenwood (6'0 175), but he seems to be struggling to get separation. Law (6'4 190) has nice size, but he hasn't shown it on the field. The TE Gilmore is probably the most relaible reciever on the team right now.

Thanks for making me feel better. Big WR are a problem for us, we've done well against smaller ones. We haven't had to deal with a decent TE yet tho. Cal's was invisible iirc.

Ramnation thinks they will be 3-0 after this week with a possibility of going 5-0. Just a couple random fans though. The rest seem worried.

Finding a way to get to 5-0 would be a HUGE step for the CSU program and would set up one of the biggest games ever to come to Fort Collins on October 15 with Boise State. Unfortunately, I see us sitting at 4-1 most likely.

Patrick Mahnke would like you to continue to remember it that way.....

I've blocked whomever you are talking about from my memory. Thank you whiskey. And frankly, if we did have this Mahnke, success against him doesn't indicate much. As long as this person never plays again.

CSU is going to get absolutly stomped by Boise. Your biggest game would be an unranked, terrible 4-1 Lamb team versus a team that's going to slaughter the Lambs and take them to the market? That's sad.

It is sad that CSU would market a top 5 team coming to Ft. Collins? Huh?

Good to see you around CC.

Thanks. I generally ignore posters like "tini", but when posters blatently distorts certain facts (i.e. UNC attedance) which then go unchallenged and become truth, I will respond. And you are exactly right, CSU should and will be heavily marketing that Boise State game.

I was just posting what was posted on BuffStampede. You should have taken it with a grain of salt though knowing that there was no link and my hate for CSU.

No it's sad that CSU's biggest game ever will come when they are unranked.

Honestly, just stop. You are not one to diss CSU being unranked, when is the last time we've been ranked?? They're at least winning their games, so really, STFU cuz you're making us look like whiny losers. And really, what is with your hatred/fetish for the lambs? (Please, don't answer the question because I know your answer will be stupid and irrelevant). Start acting like a real CU fan- We don't care to play the lambs and your annoying troll posts are only fueling their rivalry. Get it?

CC, bummer about your best D player getting hurt. No one enjoys hearing such news when it comes to their team.

We were ranked in 2005 before collapsing at ISU and NU and then UT. Last time CSU was ranked? 2000. Sorry but if your biggest game is when you're unranked, that's not a good thing. It's great that they're promoting it as a big game and marketing it, but I don't think many outsiders would view it as a big game.

It was amazing being at the game, when Sisson went down. You could literally feel the air come out of the entire stadium. What is unfortunate is that the team was playing so well and had so much momentum at the time. CSU was up 28-0, UNC had not moved the ball past the 50 and then....disaster. The team looked a little shell schocked after that and I think it had an impact on how they performed in the 2nd half.
