Many have said that the offensive line should be greatly inproved this coming season. IMHO they have stunk as a unit during Hawk's tenure as HC. Given that there were virtually no linemen in the program when he came, I would have expected them to be be subpar for a couple of seasons. However, the unit was HORRIBLE last season. I am not sure if there is anything to hang onto that would suggest they will be better next season. A year of experience? I dont think a year of getting blown off the LOS all season is anything to build on. The return of an overweight lineman who has never played a live snap? No. The addition of Richter may be something to hang onto along with an influx of more bodies to practice agsainst.
When looking at rosters of other teams this O-line matches up pound for pound but it appears they have bought into Hawkin's "culture" of losing.
One last thought...ANY journeyman running back could look like a Heisman winner behind a stellar offensive line...so the "excuse" that the team only has 4 running backs and will abandon the run game stinks.
