'12 CA DT Josh Tupou (Signed to Colorado)

With Kofavalu, was a risk from UCLA and Washington making a late push.

To my untrained eye, from what I saw at the reruiting luncheon, this kid is my bet for the frosh most likely to get PT on the DL this year. He's big enough, and showed moves other than just an overpowering bull rush. A lot of superior HS DT's don't develop much else because they ar edominant at HS. Tupou had some nce alternate moves (swims etc.) The other DT's are going to be good too, but Tupou looks off the shelf ready to play to me.

I think Solis will give him a run for his money but I think Tupou will make the biggest impact out of the DT's, Jagne is one to watch at DE to.

I saw the title of this thread from the forum page and just realized how similar his name is to the super-recruiter that left Cal for UW last year.

I expect him toget a lot of playing time this year because it seems he the most physically mature freshman on the defensive line. I heard he is around 320 lbs. I'm really exited to see him play.

Pads were on today right? I can't/won't contain my love for the big boys that are sorely needed!

I'll hold back on my nickname demands until he blows up a CSU RB in the hole for a 3 yard loss.

tomorrow.

Ah. I saw shoulder pads and considered it full pads. OL's need for knee and thigh pads are minimal. I'm hoping they have Jack Harris wrapped like that kid from Little Giants. Could use a healthy year out of him.
