    Welcome.
I like the pickup. He has some size. No risk. Seems like a good pickup to me.

The video looks like he likes to stick with his blocks, which is good. He also looks like he gets downfield quickly to hit somebody. Get him some D-1 level coaching, and we'll see what happens! Welcome to the B'n'G, Ed!!!

Love it. Nice build. Big boy with the frame to get bigger. Sometimes developing just takes longer for some folks. I remember Nebraska tearing people up with their walk on's. Loving what CU is doing right now.

Looks like a good pick-up. Welcome

Question. He clearly has D1 size, looks like he moves well, doesn't lack strength. Why didn't he have FBS offers, you would think a kid like this would at least get some lower D1 offers. Or did he simply not report offers, did his coach not get him into the recruiting process.

He's not as agile or flexible as the major recruiting prospects. Some of that can develop, though.

Welcome! A big sign of an improving program is when scholarship quality players (at any level) would rather join a team as a walk-on.

Adam just published a nice article on Caldwell:

"I made the decision that I am going to CU last weekend," Caldwell said. "I knew if I didn't take the opportunity to go play football at an FBS program, take a shot at it, I would be regretting it later in life. I always set my goals high and I work hard to get them accomplished.

He turned down offers from NoCo and Mines.

Maximus on the Rivals board knows him, I think, and is reporting that Caldwell is developing as a player and moving up the depth chart. Knee injury he came in with sounds like it's behind him.

What I hear is that he's not cut out for LT (unfortunately, given the situation), but it sounds like he might be doing enough to add quality depth and maybe earn a scholarship at RT. I liked what I saw of him in the spring game. Up to 300 lbs based on current cubuffs.com roster.
