ESPN has us high interest, but no offer yet. He's a small forward who might be big enough to play the four in college, but he has to run the point for his high school, so he has ball skills. Washington State is allegedly in the lead for his skills.

ESPN still is the only one really saying we're going after him. From their "Coaches In July" writeup:

Never. The do produce some decent scouting reports. Unfortunately, their ratings don't necessarily make sense when compared to the scouting reports. I don't know if the main problem is being slow with rating updates or what. Whatever it is, ESPN coverage of basketball recruiting suggests that they are painfully understaffed in this department. On the women's side they're even worse, but at least they're trying to give us something (unlike the other sites).

like seeing the Gonzaga offer there. Mark Few has a great eye for talent and I would assume that he has seen this kid play even being on opposite sides of the state.

Pretty much what Nik said. I really like their scouting reports, but you have to make careful they're not really outdated. I like Dave Telep, and think he provides some good stuff, but he's really the only one of the ESPN guys that I follow. The rankings are usually WAY off unless it's a top 50 guy or someone that a major school is after. As for if they're right about Lexing & CU? I honestly don't know. I do find it odd that no one else is mentioning it, but I can't rule it out either.

I'm a little higher on their women's coverage, but I'm also biased as I used to work with the guy who runs it.

I'm not sure what to think of espin's coverage, but I will give them minor props in regards to Lexing -- they have a comment (supposedly) from the young man in regards to his level of interest for CU.

Intriging, Idea of a 6'6" powerful kid with some PG skills and experience with the ball.

I don't know if this kid is any good or not. Tante is right about Few, Gonzaga has a history of fnding guys who may not fit in a standard box but who can play.

If he can he could give defenses nightmares.

Looks like we are in the mix, no clear leader yet. Definitely an intriguing prospect that is blowing up right now.

Lexing would be a great get.

I wanted a big in this class, but I won't be complaining if we end up signing (for example) Lexing and Hopkins in this class.

I'm not questioning Tad, and I realize that "reported offers" is only part of the picture, but I'm amazed at the lack of bigs we're going after right now.

I love the reflexive "I'm not questioning Tad," like the CUMBB secret police will break down your door and cart your family away if you question his judgement. I imagine Platti would run that program, btw.

I question Tad. After Scott leaves for the NBA after one year and Gordon leaves after 2 (and winning 2 pac 12 championships), we will really be hurting for bigs.

Welcome GiveNGoBball. I hope it's ok, but I merged your stuff with our one-stop-shop for Tre'Shaun Lexing.

As for Lexing, I like him. He plays point in HS, but has the size to be a 3-4 hybrid like Dre or XJ. Versatile.

Exactly that is what makes him so impressive. Like he said he can guard positions 1-3

GiveNGo, how would you say his post game is? What's the most impressive part of his game? Thing he needs to work on? Sounds like you've had a chance to see him a bit, would love to hear your thoughts.
