A bit misleading because of quantity but Stoops has landed eight 4-star players in a year and a half and a bunch of upper-tier 3-star players and he already has 18 commits for this current class. This is strange considering that according to most people on here first year staffs, particularly those who inherit bad teams, cannot be expected to put together such quality recruiting classes. I'll concede that Kentucky is a slightly better situation then ours but still, it's hardly an ideal one either. UK's facilities are even older then ours and the amount of instate talent is the same as CO so if your thinking either of those things, stop.
I'm confident in saying that if Mac and company were at UK they wouldn't currently be having nearly as much success. It's particularly disappointing that none of the blue chip instate prospects are/did even consider us, let alone commit, since Mac got the job. Point of all this is, obviously I'm not happy with the new coaching staff but more specifically I don't want excuses-as Stoops and other coaches have demonstrated they don't always hold much water, I want results and what we got in '13 and how '14 is currently going is not nearly good enough. Go ahead and bash my negativity or "trolling," but you same people will be the ones complaining if (when?) we continue to finish with losing records in the coming years.
