2017: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

Buffs look to have become the latest to offer OT Brenden Jaimes from Lake Travis High School in Austin TX.

Chase Garbers visiting on April 7, just won QB MVP and the Elite 11 invite in LA w/ Tate Martell over some very good QBs including Jack Sears, Braxton Burmeister, Connor Neville (18), Matt Corral (18) and Dorian Thompson-Robinson (18). His recruitment will probably skyrocket.

Buffs are the latest to offer highly recruited RB/ SS J.K. Dobbins from La Grange High, La Grange, TX.

http://247sports.com/Player/JK-Dobbins-37847 (20 offers showing not including CU, including many major programs (Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, etc. and about 4 Pac 12 schools including Stanford).)

From blog: “He’s the fastest 16 year old in North America,” OSU signee Amen Ogbongbemiga said following the offer on Tuesday. He’s a top-flight track star, who represented Canada at the world youth championships, finishing in fourth place in the 100M, with a time of 10.55 seconds.

Another OLB offered, this time Terrel Bernard from La Porte High School, La Porte, TX. (He's also listed as a RB, but seems to have limited carries so far.)

Buffs staying busy in the Pelican State, with three 2017 offers being made to Louisiana players today. (If I have the time and inclination, more details to follow.)

DE/ TE Bryan Jones from Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge, LA.

OT/ DT Dwayne Fisher from Ehret High School in Marrero, LA.

CB FS Mike Lee from Landry-Walker HS, New Orleans, LA.

Never to be forgotten, Buffs go back this afternoon to their more traditional recruiting grounds and offer one 2017 player each from California and Texas.

Myles Jones, CB/ WR from Magnolia West High School in Magnolia, TX.

Jeremiah Hawkins, Athlete (in his twitter profile lists "WR RB CB") from Yorba Linda, CA (Buena Park HS).

A couple 2017 offers made to (highly recruited) players over the last 2-3 days I don't believe have been mentioned yet-

CB Elijah Gates from Buena Park, CA (Buena Park HS)

http://247sports.com/Player/Elijah-Gates-83501 (Already shows 8 offers, including Notre Dame, UCLA, Oregon, Cal and corn.)

WR Kevaughn Dingle out of Miami's Carol City High School.

Riley was his dad's position coach @USC. It's a big get for them unfortunately, he's childhood friends with basically all the top Cali recruits and they're all considering Nebraska because of him. :'[

Thanks for ruining my day.

I think the impact is going to be fairly insignificant. Local schools were not pushing that hard. From what I understand, the Cali 2017 class is deeper more than loaded with top end talent.

I seem to remember we have offers out to teammates at Calabasas, though I don't remember who or if the corn also offered them.

After a couple quiet weeks (assume it was something to do with the NCAA recruiting calendar?), looks like the Buff coaching staff is back at it, as they offer DE Hunter Echols from Cathedral HS in LA, CA. Note- currently (per the 2nd tweet below) the young man is a UCLA verbal commit.

http://247sports.com/Player/Hunter-Echols-87743 (In addition to UCLA, a HEAVILY recruited player with 24 offers showing, including the majority of the Pac, as well as such schools as Michigan, Oklahoma, Miami, and the Corn.)
