2021 Tournament thread

Are you talking about Lily? She had a rough covid year that’s for sure. And they are playing ATT commercials profusely on regular TV too.

I would imagine Milana Vayntrub still has a rocking body. She tweeted recently that she writes and directs those commercials, and dresses herself that way, in response to what she said were too many comments that made her feel uncomfortable.

Oh I'm sure she does too. She's getting to be like the Hootie and the Blowfish of women during the NCAA tournament though-seeing her every commercial break takes some of the luster off her.

So my brother the gambling degenerate was in Iowa visiting his daughter and somehow he found himself a riverboat casino. It had a sports book, and we were texting about parlays. I asked him to put down $20 for me on the Beavs, ****bailer, Arky, and Houston. It wasn't a huge payout, but it was alright.

So, the parlay hits, and I go to bed figuring I won some cash. Wake up this morning to find out that he had left the casino before he got my text, but didn't text me about it until this morning. Totally deflating.

He feels really bad, but I was like, the way that worked out is why I don't bet. My luck is total ****. If he had been able to get that bet for me, guaranteed that Abmas from ORU hits that shot at the end of the game last night. :ROFLMAO:

I was thinking the same thing about Flo.

You know you can bet legally in Colorado right on your phone, right?

It’s so easy! And even if you’re risk averse and don’t actually want to gamble, you can just take advantage of all the sign up bonuses for free money. The books assume you’ll keep playing and eventually lose, but if you have the willpower you can get thousands of free dollars and quit.

So this is the Florida State that turns the ball over a bunch and misses easy layups and fouls a lot. Didn’t see that team last week.
Eh. I think the opponent is a factor here. Their offense today is about where it was against us up to this point as they only scored 24 first half points. Michigan is being much more aggressive on offense forcing the issue. But yeah, the turnovers would have been helpful for the Buffs.

Edit: refs are also giving a lot of weird foul calls to Michigan’s benefit.

I think Michigan's length is responsible for a lot of this, but FSU looks lost and is not really even trying to run an offense.

We wouldn't be rolling like Michigan is, but we would have fared much better against this brand of FSU basketball.

Michigan is very good, but FSU lost at the beginning of March to a terrible Notre Dame team in the same fashion.

Yeah, it would have been nice to play bad FSU. ‘Tis college basketball. Just like the last six teams who played Elite 8 Oregon State wish they had played the Oregon State who lost back to back games to Wyoming and Portland earlier this year. Michigan lost to Minnesota this year by 18.

Isn't allbuffs' favorite CBB referee Tony Padilla working this game? That might explain your last point.

Not sure. I have no stake in this game and think I’m unbiased as I don’t really care who wins, but the calls seem heavily favored for Michigan. Maybe it’s just me thinking that FSU got away with a lot of this against us, but not this game. They already have 14 fouls and only had 15 in our full game.

Edit: and just after I post they call a weak 4th foul on Barnes.

Michigan getting alot of points inside this half. FSU is hanging around but can't get closer than about 8, except getting to within 6 for a brief moment

I was indifferent as well in this game, but the officiating (especially in the 2nd half) has been horrendously one-sided.

I have to say that Michigan is playing better in this tournament than I thought they would, I thought they would miss Livers more than they apparently do.

3 fouls on Michigan with 4 minutes left in the second half.
