2023-24 Coaching Carousel (Fitzgerald out, DC Braun interim at Northwestern)

Unless you are a Deion Sanders and can bring self-driven media hype a job outside the SEC or B1G is a definitive step down. Bad teams are needed in professional sports and that is what lower-tier programs in the Power 2 will be.
You’re still talking about jobs that will pay $4-$6m/year on average and have a path to the 12 team playoff.

Who’s in better shape right now and the next 3-5 years; Minnesota or Utah? Purdue or Oklahoma State? Colorado or Indiana? Rutgers or Kansas State?

Those programs have zero shot at the playoff going forward, while every Big 12 program I listed along with Arizona, Kansas, etc all have a chance.

But not Baylor, right? **** those guys.

Kalen will be an incredible hire for some school in 2 years when he gets fired for going 9-3 and 8-4 in Tuscaloosa.

I wouldn’t be shocked, if he wins 9-10 games a year and recruiting falls to 10-25 range and he gets fired for that.

If they're moving that quickly, I think they're promoting Ryan Grubb.

And DeBoer is playing with house money at Alabama. If he keeps them rolling, he's an all time great. If he gets fired, he'll get another shot somewhere.
Grubb is expected to join DeBoer at Bama along with their WR coach. At least that’s what was reported earlier

UW fans starting to believe Leipold is the hire. If true then I believe UW did a great job of managing a tough loss at HC and is getting a B10 quality coach.

Interestingly the Arizona fans are convinced that Fisch will be the new UW HC. Either way it is a bit ironic that UW is hiring their football coach from a basketball school.
